Justin Febey

Justin Febey is an indigenous Tasmanian Ranger with 25 years’ experience in the management of land and wildlife across Tasmania. During his career, Justin has developed specialist knowledge in fur seal management and threatened fauna conservation programs. Justin worked for 13 months as assistant team leader as part of the highly successful Macquarie Island Pest Eradication Program and he is part of a small specialist team in Tasmania that undertake whale rescue at stranding events and the disentanglement of cetaceans and seals caught in marine debris. Justin has 15 years’ experience working with the Australian Antarctic program as a watercraft operator and coordinator. In his spare time, Justin works as a field guide in the Western Antarctic and Arctic for various nature-based tourism operators.
